These are only two of the questions I was asking myself before signing up for the ‘Mindfulness-based Stress Management’ course. I found the answers and many more through Tara’s safe, secure, knowledgeable and supportive instruction. I would highly recommend this course and Tara as an instructor.

I very much enjoyed this course and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in becoming more present and less reactive in their life. Through the course and it’s associated at-home exercises, I was able to get a taste of the deliciousness of BEING HERE NOW, of slowing down, of doing less and being more, of becoming more aware of my thoughts and emotions, of being kinder to myself, of noticing what is going on in my body and in my heart. I learned new things about myself and was reminded, gently and lovingly, of the wisdom I already have. Tara’s wisdom and insight offered me pearls almost every week and she was so good at holding space and guiding us through the course. She is definitely in her element! This course was a journey into myself. It gave me specific practical tools that address particular struggles I’ve been having such as reactive patterns, anger, overwhelm and shut-down. I see how I am able to be with my reactions in a patient, welcoming way. I see how I can give/create space for considering a situation from other points of view before responding. I see how this supports me in feeling more empowered to create my life in a way that fulfills and satisfies me and connects me to the experience of other living things/people. I can feel a deeper sense of sovereignty and ownership of this lifetime.

For someone as myself who does not meditate often, I feel that Tara was still able to relate to the process after all her experience with meditating. She was able to intuitively guide me back as though she knew my struggles from distractions etc.

Although it was a zoom class it still felt intimate, safe and interactive.
Everyone seemed to feel very comfortable and free of judgement and that was due to Tara’s ability to hold the space with love and compassion. She was focused, genuine and made me feel at ease. It was comprehensive and I will continue to use these tools to deepen this practice. Thank you, Tara I very much enjoyed your teaching style and will continue to seek out classes you hold.

I was very nervous signing up for the Mindfulness Course because I struggle with social anxiety. I am terrified when I have to talk in front of people even if all I have to do is introduce myself. However, I knew that I will be learning valuable tools for managing my anxiety and depression and Tara was amazing at making me feel comfortable in the group and supported all of us individually while holding the group energy and keeping things on track. The classes were easy to follow and I noticed a change in the way I looked at life almost instantly. The course finished weeks ago, but I continue to benefit from the practices we learnt.
